Document Control Coordinator
Blargoans Ltd have a 12-month contract opportunity for a Document Control Coordinator to work within our client’s facility in Caithness.

Opportunities have arisen within both the FCA* and Reactors programme safety, security, health, environment and quality (SSHEQ) teams as a Document Control Coordinator, a role that sits at the centre of project delivery and facility operations. If you’re motivated by working with others, supporting compliance, and making sure essential documentation processes run seamlessly, this role will spark your interest.
* One permanent role and one maternity cover fixed term to July 2027.
Main Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the effective implementation of the Dounreay Management System, maintaining compliance against key standards and statutory requirements. As an integral member of the programme SSHEQ team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues, auditors, and system specialists to keep information up-to-date, accurate, and accessible.
- Be the go-to expert for document control in your area, ensuring documents are properly created, reviewed, approved, distributed and acknowledged
- Champion the Controlled Management System (CMS), managing all local processes, identifying useful metrics and coordinating with application controllers
- Carry out quality and compliance checks, participate in document control forums, and support users by clearly communicating document control principles and best practise
Aptitudes and Experience
You’ll bring the drive, organisation, and eye for detail needed to keep vital information fully compliant and easy to access. Whether it’s coordinating documentation, solving problems, or supporting team colleagues, you’ll be someone who can stay focused, organised, and calm under pressure.
- Qualified with a HNC in Science/Engineering (or equivalent) plus practical experience, with proven attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- Experience in working with document control systems such as SharePoint alongside strong planning, communication and administrative skills
- A collaborative, customer-focused mindset, comfortable supporting shared tasks, working flexibly, and maintaining high-quality output to tight deadlines
Terms and Conditions
Basic Annual Income – £38,354 to £51,475 overtime rates apply as standard.
37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Every third Friday being a non-working day.
Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays
12 Month Contract
