Beautifully refurbished hotel in the idyllic village of Dunnet, situated 4 miles from the mainland’s most northerly point Dunnet Head. We are a 12-bedroom country hotel on the NC500. Situated next door to the mainland’s most northerly Gin Distillery, Dunnet Bay Distillers.
Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to further their career. As the Duty Manager of Northern Sands Hotel you will be in charge of all departments in the absence of the General Manager. You will ensure that all standards are maintained throughout the hotel.
Main Responsibilities
Reception/Reservations and Front of House
Coordination of all Departments
Customer Relations
Food & Beverage Distribution
End of day reports and cashing up
Daily/General Duties
To assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the business.
To ensure all guests receive a truly warm “Highland” welcome and are treated to the upmost hospitality and care during their stay.
To ensure the smooth operation of all departments throughout the day.
To supervise, motivate and assist in training of the team.
To ensure that any complaints are minimised and are dealt with professionally.
Social Media Management.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a similar role.

Calm & flexible attitude.
Terms and Conditions
Salary – £13 to £14.50 per hour (experience dependant)
Flexible 20-35hrs per week
Permanent Position.
