Senior Administrator – Finance

Blargoans Ltd have a 12 month contract opportunity for a Senior Administrator to work within our client’s Finance Department in Caithness.

The Job Holder will ensure that administration requirements are understood and delivered to quality standard within agreed timescales.

Main Responsibilities
The Job Holder will:
• Provide U4BW/Database/IT Superuser level of knowledge and understanding of systems and provide standard and bespoke reports
• Keep all data secure and control transmission through company standard procedures
• Analyse costs and carry out journals to rectify incorrect costs on account/work order allocations
• Reallocation of costs where required
• Monitor projects and analyse project expenditure. Create Excel spreadsheets and reports for actual expenditure/income
• Checking and receipting of timesheets for external contractors
• Create and update Excel spreadsheets to analyse invoices received v receipted amounts for external contractors
• Receipt/amend and close out purchase orders
• Monitor and clear parked invoices
• Complete sales invoice request forms and send to sales ledger department when required
• Monitor/track incomplete/unauthorised client timesheets, action amendments and resolve anomalies within the system
• Maintenance/creation of work orders
• Reconcile the figures in the Programme Management Reporting System with the U4BW Financial System
• Awareness of schedule and cost variances
• Produce local finance procedures
• Provide assistance on financial system issues

 

Qualifications, Aptitudes & Experience:
• Demonstrable administration experience
• A good knowledge and understanding of the systems tools available for reporting in financial reporting areas
• Knowledge of the Programme Management Reporting System would be an advantage
• Ability to analyse numerical data in a logical and accurate manner
• Ability to work as part of a team

They should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to routinely interact with a number of staff at various levels across the organisation and be well motivated and able to work to a strict, demanding timetable with minimal supervision

 

Terms & Conditions
Basic Annual Income – £28,620 to £36,908, based on experience. Overtime rates apply as standard.
37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays.
12 Month Contract
Security Clearance – Vacancy requires candidate to undergo security clearance checks.
