Technical Writer

Blargoans Ltd have a 12 month contract opportunity for a Technical Writer to work within our Client’s facility in Caithness.

Job Description

The purpose of the post is to write and review operating instructions as defined in the relevant standard.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Job Holder will

  • Liaise with stakeholders and undertake plant and system walk downs to assess the validity of maintenance and operating instructions.
  • Create new maintenance procedures as required
  • Review and amend current maintenance procedures
  • Prepare operating instructions and implement physical document changes to existing documents on behalf of projects and facilities

 

 

Aptitudes, Qualifications & Experience

Detailed knowledge of at least one (industrial) technical discipline i.e. Engineering Apprenticeship, or be able to demonstrate (through vocational qualifications) equivalent technical knowledge

HNC on equivalent level qualifications in a technical discipline

Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience in technical writing of operating or maintenance procedures

 

 

Terms and Conditions
Annual Basic Income – £33,296 to £45,436 – Overtime rates apply as standard.

37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays.

12 Month Contract
